Michigan's Consent to
Adoption Law

The consent is signed in court, approximately 1-3 weeks after the birth of the child. If either birth parent is under the age of 18 at the time of delivery, a parent or guardian must also consent to the adoption.

Pre-consents are not allowed in the state of Michigan.

Revocation Time Frame in Michigan

The consent is irrevocable once the birth mother appears in court.
